Process makes Practice Programme Working with a school and a community group
Working with a school and a community group
The programme is engaging young people directly with emerging contemporary artists to provide long-term connection and leadership from artists who are pushing the boundaries of their practice. Structured workshops are happening for young people at Sidings Community Project and in Year 9 at Maria Fidelis School. Sessions are supporting young people to find their own creative voices which are being amplified through showcases at Camden Art Centre. The gallery is working with contemporary and accessible visual arts formats, as well as moving image and sound. Participants are being encouraged to think about how art, professional skills and popular culture overlap. There is an emphasis on providing cultural sector experiences insight, experiences and connections, as well as skills development and creative confidence
